I am MtF, I transitioned at the age of 43. But I am also intersexed.

We are making strides in the comprehension of advantages and disadvantages of androgens in competition. The Olympic Committee would be well advised to undertake a comprehensive study, and to make recommendations, regarding to what degree any given person has advantages or disadvantages in a given competition.

For example, does greater genetic lung capacity affect the outcome? And if so, does the competitor have lungs that reflect a period of unremediated testosterone-influenced growth?

Doubtless there are (or will be) MtF competitors who were subject to puberty delay and have no such (dis)advantage. On the other hand, some sports might be favorably affected by pelvic size or long-muscle proportion.

I call for a period of scientific and compassionate consideration of the issue.
